Accidental Colour Combinations

This series of gouache paintings explores how colours interact with each other in unexpected ways. Each painting explores a different combination of colour and reoccuring shapes, yet together they all connect. The forms emerge from my brushstrokes, which I exaggerated or accentuated with a contrasting colour. Underlying colours that resurface when reactivated create depth and subtle shifts in hues and tones.
