Abstract painting and handcrafted timber structures investigating colour, material and the quiet transformation of landscape, memory and time. 

My creative outlook has been shaped by a lifelong immersion in architecture, photography, art and design. These disciplines run through my family and have influenced the way I see and interpret the world for as long as I can remember. Curious by nature, I have always been drawn to the relationships between colour, geometry, form, texture and material, exploring how they shape both our visual and emotional experience.

My background in design and foundational art education continue to inform my multidisciplinary practice, where structure and intuition exist in equal measure. Working primarily in gouache and oil, I create abstract paintings that investigate the relationship between colour, material and space. Rather than representing the visible world, I translate my observations of life, landscape and memory into layered compositions that evolve through an ongoing process of enquiry.

I work in series, allowing ideas to unfold over time. Each painting builds upon the discoveries of the last, exploring subtle shifts in colour, form and surface. Alongside painting, I create handcrafted timber structures from salvaged wood that are conceived as integral elements of the work. Together, painting and timber form a dialogue between surface, object and space, extending ideas of transformation, history and renewal beyond the painted image.

Above all, I hope my work encourages viewers to slow down. Through quiet abstraction, layered surfaces and carefully considered material relationships, I invite moments of curiosity, contemplation and connection, allowing each person to discover their own meaning within the work.
